Visa & Travel Guide for International Guests – WordCamp Kampala 2026

We are excited to welcome attendees from Uganda, across Africa, and around the world to WordCamp Kampala 2026. To help you prepare for your trip, we have put together some important visa and travel information for international attendees planning to join us in Kampala, Uganda.

Do I Need a Visa to Enter Uganda?

Most international visitors traveling to Uganda require a visa to enter the country. Visa requirements vary depending on your nationality, so we strongly recommend checking with the nearest Ugandan embassy or consulate before making travel arrangements.

Uganda offers an online e-Visa application system, making it easier for travelers to apply before arrival. We encourage attendees to begin the visa process early to avoid delays closer to the event dates. (immigration.go.ug)

Official Uganda e-Visa Application Portal

International attendees can apply for a Ugandan visa online through the official immigration portal:

Please ensure you only use the official government website when applying for your visa, as there are several fraudulent websites online posing as official visa portals. (immigration.go.ug)
