Wordcamp Kampala is an annual conference focused on WordPress, a popular content management system. It brings together WordPress enthusiasts, developers, designers, bloggers, and business owners to learn, share ideas, and network.
After three years of not being held due to the Covid 19 pandemic, WordCamp Kampala will happen on the 5th and 6th of August 2023 and will be hosted at Motive Kampala.
This year we have a lots of activities in stock including the first ever Kids Camp Kampala, diverse tracks for different WordPress User Groups each with different sessions to Learn from.
Sessions
These will be either individual presentations or panel discussions. The sessions will take between 15 minutes discussions to 45 minutes presentation depending on the kind of subject being discussed.
Tracks
WordCamp Sessions are usually divided into different categories called tracks, these are based on the WordPress users experience needs. In WordCamp Kampala 2023 we present Four tracks which include;
- Kids Camp
This year we introduce a new track to WordCamp Kampala called the Kids Camp. This is for Children between the ages of 8 and 16. The track will focus on introducing the children to the WordPress Ecosystem and they will have the opportunity to learn how to create a basic website using WordPress.
- Education Track
This track focuses on teachers and students who have an interest in sharing and growing their knowledge in WordPress.
- Dev Track
This track focuses on Seasoned WordPress Users who are hoping to learn something new, or expand on the Skills that they already posses. The sessions in this track address the more advanced features of WordPress and require a familiarity with the WordPress application.
- Business Track
This track will contain sessions focusing on helping those interested in building their businesses and blogs via WordPress. Any one with little or no experience in WordPress is welcomed in this track as the sessions will also be more practical giving participants a feel of what WordPress is all about. This track will combine all groups and while contain topics that apply to all WordPress Users.
