    Inspired by my sister who is a WordPress Developer and the WordPress Uganda Community at large. First-time experience with WordPress is quite different from using other technologies like Reactjs and Nodejs.

    WordPress is much easier to use for faster development as compared to other tools. Being a WordPress Developer, I am loving it, so far so good. Besides Webdesign, I am UI/UX Designer, Technical Writer and a WordPress Tutor.

    David Okwii is a highly skilled and passionate software developer with expertise in Python and JavaScript programming languages. Throughout his career, he has acquired extensive experience working with various web frameworks, including Django, Ruby on Rails, and Next.js. David’s innovative mindset and proficiency in these frameworks have allowed him to successfully develop and contribute to several noteworthy projects.

    One of his notable accomplishments is the creation of Odukar Store, a niche electronics store based in Uganda. This project showcases David’s ability to leverage his technical skills to develop robust and user-friendly e-commerce solutions. Additionally, he has also developed Sitemonki, a website uptime monitoring website, demonstrating his commitment to improving web performance and reliability.

    In his personal life, David embraces an active and nature-oriented lifestyle. He finds joy in exploring the beautiful landscape of Kampala’s hills, often seen cycling or running as a means to keep both his body and mind in balance. Furthermore, he engages in urban farming, utilizing his backyard to cultivate plants and promote sustainable living.

    In addition to his role at CG Engineering Consults, Charles is also the team lead of Resolve360, an esteemed organization focused on ADR training and advocacy. Through Resolve360, Charles actively promotes the importance of alternative dispute resolution methods, equipping professionals with the necessary skills to resolve conflicts efficiently and effectively

    Joan Logose is a passionate Web Support Specialist with over 9 years of experience in handling WordPress projects. She has coordinated numerous website implementation projects, consulted on Digital Transformation campaigns, and facilitated impactful website implementation workshops.

    Currently employed by a non-profit organization, Joan plays a pivotal role in capturing and effectively communicating customer requirements for web design projects, and delivering final products. Notably, her involvement in eCommerce and online fundraising projects for small and medium-sized organizations has led to a substantial increase in online product sales and digital fundraising.

    Peter started his career as an intern at African Art Innovations as a Content Creator, Editor and while learning Digital marketing(SEO), and got into Web Designing and quickly gained a reputation for his creative custom designs and attention to functionality and now working as a site admin, editor at GotechUG, and a freelancer and working.

    My design philosophy is centred around creating websites that are both beautiful and functional. I believe that a website should not only look great but also be easy to use and navigate.

    William graduated from South Carolina State University earning a Bachelor’s in Education, furthering his education earning a Master of Arts in Teaching from Webster University William’s career involves 33 years in public education and past teaching with NASA as an Internet and Technology instructor. He has been a technology consultant with the Florida Department of Education where he presented at major conferences in Florida and Georgia.

    William has been involved with WordCamp conferences since 2010 and appreciates the WordCamp community and the “service” the open-source community provides. He attributes his growth, development and a continued purpose to collaborate, connect and create content to what he has learned and continues to learn while attending, volunteering, sponsoring, organizing, promoting and advocating for the WordPress community. What his learns he shares with his students in STEAM+M instruction of Science Technology Engineering Arts Math Metaverse and project-based learning.

    William shares his experiences with students at schools across Jacksonville to inspire learning and paying forward wisdom and knowledge. They continue to educate locally, nationally and globally.
