Call For Speakers


Do you an idea about a WordPress related presentation, if yes, you have an opportunity to share it with our audience.

Speakers will be given a maximum of 25mins. This include time for questions and answers for the audience.

Our Audience

WordCamp Kampala 2023 is aiming at delivering the best content about WordPress. Our audience will include Students, Developers, Designers Content Creators, Business owners and Entrepreneurs.

The Content

We shall have 4 main tracks. This is to guide you on how to choose your Topics and prepare your presentation. We recommend practical sessions in your presentation so that help the audience get a taste of the knowledge they will have acquired. These tracks include the following;

The Education Track

This track is intended for students and non students are completely new to the WordPress . This track will consist of Beginner friendly talks.

We highly recommend that you checkout https://learn.wordpress.org/ to get an idea on how content in this category should be delivered.

The Business Track

These audience consists who people who own business and want to take the business to the next level. Speakers for the audience should focus how people can make money using WordPress.

The Developers Track

These is the most advanced audience at WordCamp. Topics in this category may include building a product, developing a theme/plugin, best programming practices and so on. This track is for the developers themselves. Don’t plan to speak about ‘How to install WordPress’ in this track as they will get bored.

The Kids Track

WordCamp Kampala is giving an opportunity to kids to learn WordPress. To participant in the Kids Track, you can signup as a Volunteer or as a Speaker. This track will be featuring a Kids workshop where kids will be taught how to create their own websites using WordPress. The recommended age group is 8 to 17 years of age.
